Funny thing is it took a year to get a Lightsaber attachment. When we've already had swords, fishing rods, flight sticks, wheel, and cooking utentsils shells. Guess it's because of the potential legal troubles CNET mentioned. =P

 I thought about that too, but maybe if the light is at a cool temperature then it would work ok I guess.

Except for the ackwardness of pointing a lightsaber at the tv, talk about wrist strain after a while.  Way to ruin my fun stof!

I don't think the IR would be used with the games the attachment are meant for.

Also they should make that attachment a pack-in for the collectors edition of a Wii exclusive star wars title.
