The last decade was bad for me as a ff fan. I really thought the franchise went to the dogs with FFX which was a step down from ff8/7, then ff11 which i cudn't get into, finally ff12 being horrible. KH2 wasn't as gud as KH1 either unfortunately.

I dnt know what went wrong in the last decade but for me the company that gave me ff7/8/9 just didn't exist. But now a new decade is here and ff13 has restored my faith in them. I went in expecting it to be worse than ff12, the characters looked bad, some nobody was making the soundtrack, the ffx-2 director was directing it, and it looked bad. But i was surprised by it as the characters went from cliched to i dunno they just surprised me throughout the game. The gameplay wasn't gimmicky but worked very well, it was hard but simple to use. The story was amazing, i got involved in the problems the characters faced.

I missed moogles, towns though. But I can say I am a square-enix fan now.

But can they deliver with FF14?

Nomura is making FF Versus 13 so that will definetely be good, Nomura is like kojima. But its XIV and then XV (if ff12 team makes it) that i'm worried about. I'm just happy to love my favorite company again.

x and xii were pretty good, and kh2 was far superior to kh1.

x was gud but compared to 8/7/9 it just wasn't. all the characters were bad except auron. KH2's plot i didn't understand it.

xi I dunno i just cudn't get into it, I have played MMO's so its not that I'm not a MMO player. I hope FF14 is easy to get into.

Kidding aside, FF14 is an MMO, you probably won't like it.

And FFvXIII will be very similar to the KH series, I think KH2. Take that as you will.

I don't see how anyone can call FF12 a "bad" game....it simply isn't.

TWEWY, FF7:CC, DQV Remake are also amazing Square-Enix games.

Now FFXIII is better than all of them but the company was very strong in the last decade, sales prove it too. So I never lost faith in them!

Now like dtewi says FF15 will be a return to form for you cus you won't like FF14, FF Versus XIII will be like KH2....and BTW FF15 is definetely being made my Team FFXIII if rumors are true

FF14 is an MMO but they said its different from XI so i may like it. XIII is like X according to many but I prefer XIII much more over X, you can't generalize. Nomura delivers completely, i believe he had less involvement in KH2, thats why it wasn't as gud as the first.

FF12 is a bad game. the characters are boring, the story is stupid some crap about nemacite. the world is big but who cares i had no motivation to do anything in it. yes the hunts are good but lets not forget another bad thng the battle system is bad and very very boring. VA's were gud though. And its a very convinient excuse to pretend i didn't understand the story, the story in it sucked get over it. Not every ff is as good as u think it is.

You named 3 other square-enix games out of which 1 is a remake. 2 others were ok. thts not saying much, they had 10 years and they made 2 good games? And you and dtewi are generalising tastes, but its gud to hear FFXIII team is making FFXV.

If thats your apt description of its story I refuse to believe you have even played the game.

The story in FF12 was its weak point, as were the characters. But if you look at it from a political side the story in FF12 works very well. Its much better written than any FF, even XIII and your beloved FF7/8 (which had terrible writing BTW)

Now the gameplay, if you hated gambits you hated the gameplay, but again you are very very vague on that issue, so how am I meant to believe you played the game?

Its not about me thinking every FF is good its the fact that they are all very good, there's a reason the 20 year old franchise has survuved you know. 

If FF12 was so terrible why did FF13 get the biggest opening for the series? Obviously people loved FF12 too.

And no I wasn't generalizing but at this point thats the only answer I can give to your question in the OP...will those deliver, well maybe they won't for you.

And where did you hear that Nomura had less involvement in KH2? (I'm not big on KH but is that true?)

stop being rude and how can u just say i haven't played the game. if u have no argument thats what you are saying. Gambits were boring, i didn't want to just have the game play itself for me. Writing i don't care this isn't english school. It was a bad game as it just lacked magic that most ff's have. I hear Nomura had less involvement on a kh fansite, not sure though. And ff13 had the biggest opening because it was on 2 platforms.

From what I've seen of FFXIV - I think its going to rock!
I've seen quite a bit too, I have screens and videos unseen to almost everyone. Just take a guess where they are!
