That doesn't mean that EA made money on the deal. I'm not attacking Rock Band, I'm just saying that it might not have been a big money making machine for EA.



Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.

actually the music genre wouldnt be half as damaged as it is if it wasnt for Activision with their 20 Guitar Hero games a year plan.

grims is right.  i wish i could find a link but i've reached my 2 mins of effort already.  there was an article not too long ago that basically layed out how much EA payed to buy harmonix, develop rock band 1/2/beatles vs how much revenue they have recieved.  EA is still down by quite a bit.  grimes isn't saying rockband isn't popular just that EA hasn't seen returns on their investment yet.

You can directly blame activision for the stale music market, combine that with the high start up price and there is your slower sales.
