Forums - Gaming - Not sure if I should buy a 360 again

Ok, so just over a year ago, my 360 broke down and all this time I didn't bother fixing it or buying a new one since I was having so much fun with my PS3 and games like Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, MGS4, GOWIII and Demon's Souls. Now though, the 360 has two games that I really want: Splinter Cell and Mass Effect 2. There's Halo Reach and Gears 3 as well, but I don't want them enough to justify a re-purchase of the console.

I'm super confused whether I should get a 360 though after all the news, rumours and leaks of Splinter Cell and Mass Effect coming on the PS3. If I buy a 360 now and 6 months later Ubisoft announces SC:C for the PS3, I would feel as if my money went to waste.

I guess what I'm really asking is should I take the leap and purchase a 360 for these two games? Or should I wait for the possible announcement of a 360 slim which will ultimately mean a lower price point. OR, should I instead wait for these games to release on the PS3?

my suggestion is that if you want splinter cell and mass effect 2 get them on the pc (if your pc is good enough for it though)

if you have plenty to play now, then why not wait til E3 to see if a X360 slim is coming out. If you don't have anything you really want to play and there are a bunch of games on X360 you want to play, then get that. Personally I doubt Splinter Cell Conviction or Mass Effect 2 will make their way to PS3.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

Play them on PC and wait for the redesigned 360 and decide then if you want another one or not. Wouldn't be very sensible to buy a 360 now with a new model coming up soon that's probably going to be more reliable and will most likely use less power.

If I didn't have a (Jasper) 360 already, I definitely wouldn't buy one right now but instead wait for the new model.

Wait for E3 and the (hopeful) Slim. You had a 360 once, you know there are plenty of reasons to play one. If it's really hinging on 2 games though? Well, you may feel dissappointed to pay a couple hundred bucks to play 2 games.

ubisoft already said there definatly not putting SC:C on ps3 and i cant see mass effect 2 coming to it after all this time so i would just buy a 360 , theres tons of great games coming out for it
