SmokedHostage, I don't see any SPM hate. It's simply a different game. Someone pointing out that fact doesn't necessarily mean that they are hating the game. Personally, I liked SPM but would also love to see a sequel to the main, RPG line.

now you're talking... i really miss the old formula from when paper mario was actually an RPG game and not a platformer with rpg elements. just upgrade the fornula a bit for the sequel and we'd be all set

i reeeeeeeeally hope they make a continuation of that series soon, i miss is so much :(

Why do you want pointer functionality in a Fire Emblem game? That seems like such a needless hassle to me.

Erm... so you can just point to where you want your unit to go? It's way more simple than clicking through the squares.

How is constantly sitting and aiming at the sensor bar better than holding the Wiimote and pressing the D-pad a few times?

after super paper mario i think they should drop the franchise for a while, we've got enough mario games and i cant trust them to make the next one right.


but i dont think that the release of DIY brings us any closer to these games. As far as i'm aware Team Emblem is responsible for paper mario and fire emblem whereas the wario games come from Team Shikamaru. this could be outdated information tho

IS has been in the dark for a long time now. DIY was finished and released last year in Japan, they obviously didn't work in the English localization.

If they have something, I'm sure it'll be shown at E3 and released this year or early next year. I'm expecting 3DS games though.

I hope so - Radiant Dawn was awesome, but Shadow Dragon was a tad disappointing for me.

Yes, this is what I meant.

I personally didn't like SPM, but I know people who did and even if I liked it, it wouldn't have been an RPG in the style of the original which is what I want to see more of.

Fire Emblem on the Wii please. It would be a good game to support the Classic Controller Pro - if they drop gamecube controller compatibility.

I don't see how motion controls would be good for Fire Emblem.
