480P=bad. Youd be better off hooking it up to your computer monitor if ithas HDMI. 24'' monitors can do 1080P and are only like $180-300 depending on the brand
I suggest getting cheap $150-200 22-24" TN 1080p computer display - both your Xbox and PS3 will be very gratefull for it.

some games will be almost unplayable because you won't be able to read the instructions but if you already know what you need to do wont be that bad but the fonts can be so small and they don't let you make them bigger
