Your post is very transparent disolitude. Not everyone that doesn't find value in a game you find value in is a troll. If the game was on a system I owned and I read that the single player campaign was that short when that's what I was looking forward to then I wouldn't wanna plunk down full price either.

Also, IGN gave MadWorld a 9.0, so tell me, should every gamer who owns a Wii have bought it because of that?

no...but this is the only review of the game thus far. If 10 reviews said that the game is short maybe then the argument would hold some water. Otherwise it seems like the OP just found 1 gripe about the game in the first review available and decided to post a "Don't buy Splinter Cell cause IGN says its short" topic...

I won't be buying it cause I really disliked the demo...but I won't be trolling God of War 3 either cause Gametrailers says its 8 hours short with no MP.

The whole package may be a 9.3, but if he doesn't use mp, it's much less for him considering the review.


I personally cancelled my SC preorder after the boring demo... But it seems odd to read 1 review which scores the game at 9.3 and to take the game length they state as final word and cancel preorder.

Isn't Metal Gear the same length minus the cut scenes? It's probably an action filled 5 hrs, not filled with boring filler parts to add extra hrs.

Of course your going to smell something when you shove your head in someone's ass looking for shit. He brings up a valid complaint. He doesn't care about online and a 5 hour long SP isn't something many people are willing to pay serious money for.

Personally, reading the review I was upset as well and considered not getting the game myself. Still, Stealth is a favorite genre of mine and one that I get more replay value from then games in most other genres and I'm very interested in the MP options available so I will most likely still give the game a purchase. It looks miles ahead of any of the other SC games. After the announcement of free roam multiplayer in Red Dead Redemption I might get that instead and just rent this. Honestly, I'll probably get both.

I'm not getting the game either, because I found the demo terribly dull. That said, based on your reasons for not wanting it, I would hope you've never bought the previous SC game either...

   I just like longer games to spend my time and money on I just pointing out a fact that more and more developers are dumping down the SP for MP. I just miss the days with a good SP.  Maybe iam getting to old lol.

5 Hours does Seems  pretty lame, The game is shorter than some Xbox Live games???

Bah.....$60 for such a short campaign is rediculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No. Although you can fly through the gameplay on a multiple playthrough in that length of time or less. First playthrough your talking double that at the minimum. Taking out the cut scenes doesn't really make much sense though. It's one of the games biggest selling points. And going by the ratio of the demo I would expect about an hour of the  5 in SC to be comprised of cut scenes as well.
