i think the ps3 will hover around 200k during the weeks of april.

US : 80-90k
Japan: 35-45k
Others : 80-90k

Total : 195-225k

That's where I see the PS3 at as well.

Me 3

Genuises think alike.

The saying is great minds think alike

As do lesser ones, or

Fools seldom differ.

next week splinter cell will also come out as well as that console bundle. that might raise xbox 360 sales a little bit

What do you mean? The DS, Wii were 1st and 2nd respectively in overall sales.

Tease.

They should start with LBP ps3 bundles, and even a modnation racer bundle. Would sell ps3's and get those games into hands of new audiences that might never have tried them on their own.

OT: taco bell is good

Gran Turismo 5 may really be the PS3's true system mover later this year.

Way to go out on a limb...

Doubt that Modnation will be a massive seller, and most definatly not a big hardware pusher in its first month. Sure, it could become a hit in the longrun like LBP, but not anything major. Best case I could see it doing similar numbers at first like Inafmous had Tough even that will be really hard to achieve...

The PS3 will probably maintain some of its momentum for a while, and the worldwide weekly lead untill e3. Then its all about the presenattion, and what both companies will announce

Why are we all expecting MNR to perform the same as LBP, sure the games are similar but when you look at the two side by side, there are some major differences in gameplay and style.

But even if they were almost identicle, there is not telling how it will perform, it is a brand new IP and therefore could be anything from a steady seller to a cult classic to a major blockbuster!

Come again?

You're suggesting there's a possibility that maybe a Gran Turismo title will push lots of hardware.

I was just poking fun because it's about as risky as suggesting that a MW2 bundle will push 360s...

PS3 is going to outsell 360 quite handily until Natal + 360 price drop + Halo Reach which will put 360 ahead for maybe a month, then PS3 will be back on top.

PS3 is doing good, I agree. But I'm also not going to jump the gun, it just came off of big title after big title. There's about to be a slow period, namely June & July. We'll see how things fair till then. I too think ModNation won't be an initial booster of hardware, but think it could become an instant hit. Gran Turismo 5 may really be the PS3's true system mover later this year.

Unlike 2009, the 360 has a much healthier library though, and a library that includes a system spiker if nothing else. Natal & Move will either be bonus, icings on the cake, or hardly any icing at all.

It's been two weeks since a major PS3 release. We're in somewhat of a slow period now.

PS3 still has a stronger 2010 line-up than the 360 as well. I still stand behind my statement from who knows when, when I said that Reach won't expand the userbase of the 360.

Much like Final Fantasy XIII being multiplatform. I said it wouldn't expand the userbase either and it hasn't.

Gears of War 3 won't do it either.
