If the Edge report is indeed true. In the 2nd game the sink jacinto right? the edge report says there is an underwater level, and the locusts will have tentacles. so it only makes sense that the game is a sequel!

1. I don't know why anyone would think it was a prequel.

2. Leo-j's right on the money, it wouldn't be called Gears of War 3 if it were a prequel.

Hopefully they make the final boss fight more compelling. I know it was all part of the Locust plan to have them sink Jacinto but still....it was the most anti-climatic end boss fight I can remember.

It does make sense for the game to move underwater. I'm curious to what other types of Locust they will come up with. Going underwater could change things up quite a bit
