Forums - PC - StarCraft II Collector's Edition Detailed

Just pre-ordered the limited edition today at EB games. It costs $150 here in Australia which is expensive but I couldn't help it as I am a bit of a Starcraft fanboy.

I just hope that Blizzard doesn't make us wait too long which is kinda funny considering it's already been over a decade since the original came out.

Edit-

@Peterisyum- I feel your pain brother

Give me a collectors edition with the full game for 60 euros and I'll take it.

No need for the rest of this pointless tat, thank you very much.

If you don't want to pay more, and you don't want "pointless" extras, then the regular edition is for you.

Nah, I'd still only get a third of the single player component.

Starcraft 2 "Complete" edition will come around at some point anyway, so I'll just wait for that.

Good luck waiting for the Battlechest then. Its going to be a long time before its released.

Here's a image of the actual content... the dogtag usb looks suprising nice although at 2GB it kinda sucks. The artbook is... smaller than I'd hope. I'm not interested the album or the DVD nor do I want the WoW DLC, leaving me with a few fancy images from a small book, a crappy size but sexy looking usb and some DLC for an extra $60 AUS... And even after all that negatism I'm trying deperately to convince myself that the LE is not worth it... and losing :(

@mibuokami
The artbook will be amazing just because u can see all the units they have cut and how different units such as the queen changed over development, its worth it for that alone, plus usb with starcaft for u to play anywhere is really nice, and the dvd will be good too!

@Peterisyum, I have starcraft and broodwar already. I don't doubt the content of the artbook just the relative size, it looks like only slightly bigger than the DVD case which would make the art pretty small. The DVD is fine but you'd find it on youtube within a week of release if not earlier, ditto for the soundtrack.

I'll still probably get it, because this IS starcraft but even I know I'm being taken in as a sucker.

If I was still into WoW I might plunk down the $ just for the pet lol

Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos

yer but its broodwar on the go :P, the in game stuff is really nice too? its a bit dear, but the I agree, its starcraft cmon! we only have to fork out once a decade :P
