Sony would have to pay a huge price for a developer that can only make low selling games for them. Why would they do this?

And I think the biggest argument you can make that L5 wants to stay independent is ROID, I have a feeling ROID will become the Steam of sorts in Japan.


Sony have been continually making losses for a while...that should change eventually, but don't you think they'd rather focus on profit rather than buying mid level devs?

Not even 5 years ago is still before the PS3 launched and before that they were making money off the PS2.

Where do you guys find Sony is in debt issue, The company has reported a loss once in the last 25 years, just because the Playstation part is not making money, stop make things up about the whole company. Jeez.

I know you couldn't care less about L5 games outside Nintendo systems, but you should know that made alot of games for Sony systems

I know DQIX is not their first DQ game, however, I don't think Sony would agree to them making more DQ on the Wii or DS, and S-E certainly wouldn't agree to them making DQ on the PS3 or PSP

BTW I don't Sony will buy Quantic Dream.

David Cage although he seems happy to work with Sony look the kind of guy who wants to stay independent.

On Sony's side it doesn't make any sense either since all of Quantic Dream games are a high risk to fund and publish. I doubt Sony would want that.

 

LOL...you forget Sony released the PS3, which was a high risk move. I'd say they would be the perfect company to pick up Quantic Dream, given their track record this gen.

So if Level 5 are independent of Sony, then S-E can pay them to make a DQ game for a Nintendo console

If Level 5 get purchased by Sony, then they would not be allowed to make a DQ game for a Ninty console - how often do first parties make games for competing consoles?? They would obviously not be asked to make the games for the PS3 or PSP, because Square Enix own the IP and would not ask them.

 

So if Level 5 get purchased by Sony, they will no longer make Dragon Quest games.
