Yes, but they aren't shocking. HEAVY RAIN's are long and shocking!

Well... then take a look at just dance

We get it. We're not allowed to celebrate accomplishments on other systems until they're compared to a Nintendo system.

I don't get your point : are there a definition of 'massive legs' for Nintendo, and a different one for Sony ? Aren't we applying a double standard, here ?

No, what we are doing is being childish and glossing over a good thing because
it doesn't compare to  something else.

That is what I interpret Montana's post as. What if you made a thread
about one game and someone came in and said,
"hey, ya know what? this other game has better graphics than yours".

You're over-analyzing it. It's the just the fact that we can't say something nice about a Sony game without it being compared to a Nintendo game, which frankly, is bullshit. There's nothing more to make of it. Just more Vgchartz-quality trolling.

yes but you claimed that the DSi had as many features as the PSP.. I proved you wrong.. and maybe most psp owners don't use those features, but that would be considered  talking out of our ass now wouldn't it..

@maynard

yes according to metacritic the DS does have better games

just quoting the last post before the thread broke to see what happens

sadly nothing although when posting the thread looked fine :P

Another week, another beating for the 360. Natal will be the last hope for MS...

I really don't see how citing better examples of games with long legs on a site about game sales is trolling. Especially when this, as Smeags pointed out, is actually Just Dance's best week in others 19 weeks after it came out of nowhere. Which is pretty crazy. Compared to Heavy Rain which is holding up well, but hardly is doing anything I'd consider shocking at the moment.

Posts like yours are actually why I almost never come here anymore. Argumentative flame-bait that just serves to derail the thread. =(

BrainBoxLTD: Since the thread is broken, I won't be able to directly quote you, or even see all of your post. But I'll try to manage.

It is trolling. CGI-Quality didn't do anything but make an innocent statement that a game has good legs. That would be like if I was saying that Just Dance has good sales, and then someone shouted "They're not as a good as Halo 3!" A statement like that is unnecessary and uncalled for.

And annoying trolling statements are why I don't show up often anymore either. But please, just don't come here again then. I seriously doubt everyone is going to miss the great and famous BrainBoxLtd.

I hate people who can't remember the past.  Just like the PS3 Slim was Sony's last hope last year, MS's price cut was their last hope in 2008, Sony's Price cut was their last hope in 2007... it gets old.

I do think that even if God of War III dropped very much, 3 million is very likely which is a pretty good damn thing.

It's just that Nintendo have used us throughout the years to phenomenal sales, that made other games' sales look fad. But 3 million is still very good. What is important is that the game has to be a good return in investment.

Those evergreen Nintendo titles are just amazing. Well, considering that Wii Sports is bundled, it would be unfair to count. Usually with the Wii we got a trio - Wii Sports, Fitness and... Mario. In 2008, it was about Wii Fit, Mario Kart Wii and Wii Sports. In 2009, Wii Sports Resort, Wii Fit Plus and New Super Mario Bros Wii. Sometimes a DS title appear but not for long.
