One of the biggest hindrances to carrying your DS in your pocket virtually everywhere, may be that you usually have a phone stuck in there.
I know in my area, there are a million and one open ended wifi hotspots (virtually every restaurant has one (Orlando, FL). OUr local airport has free Google Wifi etc.) What if Nintendo bundled Skype/Netflix and some sort of organizable music player with each DS it sold. The Camera is already on the DSi, so there is no reason to think that the 3DS when we see its incarnation won't have one. The dual screen's play in perfectly with skype, you can conference call and see 2 people on separate screens, 2 people on the same screen and maybe even 4 people on the two different screens. (especially considering the rumored wi-fi improvement (i suspect supporting wi-fi n speeds). this could be totally doable, and would be an interesting proposition due to skype being in limbo on Iphones (it works but only where there is Wi-fi) Do you think Skype would change the face of the 3DS as a very usable platform for multiple uses.
I personally believe within one - two years Netflix will be the dominant way to consume video over the internet and on virtually any wireless device. With the wii already expanding subscriber bases for Netflix, I find it almost incomprehensible for the 3DS not to have netflix streaming right off the bat.
