Forums - Sony - Sony's OtherOS removal defeated...

Good thing I haven't "downgraded" to 3.21 yet. I wonder if those who installed 3.21 on their phat PS3s feel a bit stupid now?

Why, he's right. No forced removal of Other OS, no custom firmware. Thank you, Sony.

You really have zero idea what your talking about. Sony disabled access to the feature. It still exists. Its still there perfectly in the XMB feature set.

Sony just has to enable it for people who get permission. Read the TOS agreement about firmware 3.21 sometime.

Good thing then that now I will no longer need Sony's permission to continue using the features I paid for.

LOL? why would I feel stupid that a feature that wasnt on ps3 slim and I didn't give a crap about is now gone?

I wonder if you feel a bit stupid after that statement now?

The ability to read and understand what you just read is underrated.

The OtherOS feature was the most useless feature on the PS3 and it was aimed for geeks. I really don't give a damn about it.

That comment was un called for. It all depends on if you care about that feature in the first place.

Next step for Sony:

I used to have a fat 60gb ps3 also and I still didn't give a crap about it heck didnt even know that it had that feature till this recent issue with hackers so would I feel stupid If I updated to the 3.21 firmware if I was still a fat ps3 owner just because you get to keep that isntall other OS feature while I dont when I dont even use that crap?

You should always care about loosing a feature even if you don't use it.
