the ps2 can't possibly stay ahead of wii its just not possible, wii has sold about 50% of what ps2 did in just shy of 3years and 5months with just a few good games a 50$ price cut no new bundles no new colors awful 3rd party support witch is all going to slowly change this year............. once wii hits 150$ it will leap in sales and I also think 3rd parties will be doing even more for wii by then since at 150 nintendo will practically be giving it away and just image how cheap a used wii would be witch could help 3rd parties..........

See, I wouldn't have a problem with people saying that the Wii will DEFINITELY pass the PS2 if they also admitted that the Wii library is not even close to on par with PS2's. It's this corelation people make in their heads. More sales does not equal better. That's what annoys me. They opened a new market, the Wii really should theoretically pass it with all those new fans. But come to think of it, if the situation doesn't change I don't think the PS2 is in any significant trouble of being usurped.

its not that wii games are bad, their different and intended for different ppl, you cant expect the same ppl who bought gta 3 to buy just dance but just dance is selling well and Im sure ppl like it and thats the crowd ps owners just can't understand and wii is always going to have those games and the hd consoles alienated them selves from this crowd a long time ago and their not going to get them either not even with move or natal its just not going to happen but wii will slowly get hardcore gamers this year especially if they have a price cut and over 20million ppl owned a gc for nintendo games and were just now seeing serious nintendo support and we havent seen that since 2008............
