Parents need to parent their kids, not the fucking government.
I would rather some perv gets his rape kicks out on this game than in real life plus you usually get murdered or commit suicide for being such a bad person so the game kind of redeems itself
Doesn't sound half as funny as X-Change, or a quarter as brilliant as Water Closet. Either way I prefer games with actual gameplay, like Sentimental Shooting.
I don't see a problem with really nasty art being free on the internet. Nobody's being hurt, and in this case nobody is even making any money.
With that said, there are justifications for murder (like self-defense or saving the world from bad guys), but there are never justifications for rape. I couldn't imagine rape being in a game without the rapist being one of the bad guys. I'm used to western "rape revenge movies" where the rape victims get their revenge on the rapists, not "rape revenge games" where you get "revenge" for something petty by raping several innocent people. Of course this game is made out of pure evil, but CNN is marketing the game more than a hentai developer could ever afford to.
"BREAKING NEWS: Japan makes weird stuff, who knew?"
I seriously doubt any hentai game went viral. It's impossible for it to considering it's banned from most of the sites that would allow it to become "viral." Furthermore, guess who's responsible for any new found popularity for the game? CNN.
This isn't something I'd be into, but the claims CNN has made because of it are pretty ridiculous. This is stuff I'd expect from Fox News, not CNN.

| andremop said: Rape and Murder are comparable. So why you can murder and why not you can rape? BTW, I wouldn't touch this game with a 10ft pole. Just saying it's hypocrytical to ban sex and permit violence. |
Despite being comprable, murder is seen as much more unacceptable in the general public.
So ironically groups get more angry about rape.
For an example... it's why you can have a game murdering people, but not a game where you are a German person killings jews or a skinhead killing black people. Well you can, but people will bitch about it much harder.
I think games should be aloud to be made of any subject... but it's also the right of these groups to boycott and use their influence to get them banned from all stores.
No laws should come into play however.

Another good point. It's actually why I generally treat rape as worse then murder.

Honestly these free speech nazis need to stay the hell away from videogames. They are no fun. Rape is such a common thing in Japanese eroge (hentai games) that it's pretty much a joke. When I see an anime girl getting raped by a tentacled monster and then 1 minute later she's like enjoying it, I can't help but laugh my ass off. I was dying of laughter from the Princess Robot Bubblegum thing that Rockstar did ("monster monster rapey time"). They nailed the perverted Japanese hentai parody thing perfectly. That kind of thing is pretty much the M.O of 99% of these Japanese hentai games. These really messed up Japanese games have provided me with lots of lulz.
its freedom of expression but people who play these games have problems....
Long Live SHIO!
