Epic Games mastermind Cliff Bleszinski is set to reveal a brand new title on The Jimmy Fallon Show. According to Fallon’s twitter, next Thursday is the big day.

“Game designer Cliff Bleszinski (@therealcliffyb) debuts his new game on Late Night next Thur. Set your TiVos! And your Xboxes,” said Fallon in a tweet last night.

Could this be the April debut of Gears of War 3 which was rumored early last month? Or could this possibly be something entirely different?

Just wondering where the hype has been for this?  My money is certainly on Gears 3 being shown since its already been reported multiple times that Gears 3 would be announced in April this year and would be releasing almost exactly a year later.  Not to mention the new Unreal Engine tech demo that showed a Brumak walking through a jungle setting. 

Hype anything possibly 360 on this site?

yeah it is true that the forums of this site certainly doesn't have a huge 360 fanbase but I figured that Cliffy B is a huge enough name and the fact that it might be the annoucement of the the next game in a massive franchise would generate at least a little buzz on the topic.  I haven't seen anything about this even mentioned here.

There was a thread about it near april 1st though. But indeed, not much hype so far.

haven't we all been burned by announcments of announcements lately?  i'm sorry but personally i'm boycotting all hype towards any announcement that doesn't actually announce anything.

I just assumed it was more April fools nonsense. I mean really, of all the places to reveal a new game (Maybe Gears 3), The Jimmy Fallon Show? Think about that for a second...it's The Jimmy Fallon Show.

this is very true and a good point. I think though that if this is something big enough that its not just announced on a gaming website but on a large scale televised show with millions of viewers that it must be something pretty big. Also like I said theres been the rumor floating around for a month now that Gears 3 would be revealed in April.

it's real its all over cliffy b's twitter.  He just posted something yesterday on it telling everyone to make sure they tune in on thursday for the reveal.  

Don't worry, as soon as it's announced Selnor will create a "Best console graphics evar!" thread. And since this is Epic, it will be a hell of a thread.

Also, as the J-man said, it's potentially xbox related, so a big yawn from the Chartz ensues.

Could also be a game like Shadow Complex, no? That wouldn't necessarily need a huge show to reveal it, I think.
