This, Planescape Torment has the best story and writing ever in a videogame.
Now, some games are just convoluted and completely terrible. Xenogears, MGS2 and Xenosaga have terrible writing and mediocre stories. None of those are deep at all.

Thats the same person who thinks COD4 sold 10 million on PC & wh thinks FF11 is the most successful FF eva!
go figure....

Considering MW2 sold 2 millions on PC in less than 5 months and was still considered a flop, I don't see why COD4, which dominated digital distribution services for months and topped several retail charts, would not do way more than MW2.
As for FFXI, it's an MMO with over 500k subscribers and millions of boxes sold. MMOs make so much profit.

Oh, really? Bad writing? Hell, I didn't know you knew Japanese Shio!
Man, it's refreshing to know that what we thought was bad translation wasn't bad translation at all, but that the original Japanese writing was bad!
(And yes, PS:T's writing is terrific).

Bad translation isn't an excuse for the fact that their stories are mediocre and convoluted though.
