Forums - Gaming - Blu-ray just got bigger

http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/03/blu-ray-discs-expand-to-128gb-under-new-bdxl-spec/

BDXL is the latest version of the Blu-Ray spec is offering up to 128GB capacity and will be used for archiving and backups. Unfortunately the PS3 won't be able to use it but next generation this (or a derivative) or something even bigger will probably be used in at least one of the next generation consoles.

Yeah, including being surpassed

Lol, that fricking humongous, haha oh man I don't think I'd even use such discs, I'd be too afraid I'd scratch them or something. Besides, there's no games this gen that would ever use such insane amounts of data.
