Forums - Microsoft - Anyone see the MW2 DLC commercial during the Final Four game

It was during the Butler v. Michigan St. game. I wasn't really paying that much attention, but there was some old guy talking in the commercial. It was kind of odd seeing an ad on TV for DLC, you would reach more of your target by advertisng through xbox, and the actual game. I wonder if this will be a trend for DLC and arcade games.

OMG, I saw this commercial! At first the ad seem all weird and related to something else and when the MWII thing appeared towards the end my buddies and I started cracking up! I mean, it's the most unrelated commercial ever and somehow it managed to make us laugh. I give the props for it!

I will add that the commercial is specially funny if you're unaware of it. I believe most people that search this TV ad knowing that is related to Modern Warfare won't find it as funny since it loses the surprise factor.

Activision/InfinityWard are doing all they can to advertise, that includes through Xbox 360. Making a commercial for it is something new they're trying and it will work, maybe even boosting MW2 software?

This is not adver. for any DLC but for DLC from the biggest launch in entertainment history. I guess we could see more ads for games that sell well.

I really don't care much for this game.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

So thats why It's $5 more - It's going to friggin' advertisement budget.

It's just that simple.

Is that the Mapathy ad? They actually ran it? Woo... Anyhow, I am glad I don't play MW2 online much. I would hate to come down with Mapathy.

I'd say the ad was a little misleading. He got through talking and the Modern Warfare 2 logo went full screen, then there was an "oh by the way" attitude for the Stimulus Package.
