I guess your right, if everyone chose the same thing it'd be boring. |
So what was your choice?
@:oldshoolfool what did you pick?
@:shinyuhadouken yes I get that but what would you pick a great looking game with crap game play or a game with NES graphics with great game play?

so you are asking whether they use trailers or Demos to chose whether to buy a game right?
well I would have to say I prefer Demos but will often buy games that look fun in trailers gameplay videos etc

Well yes demos as well as if you were recommended to buy the game or read about how good it is online
But trailers might trick you in to thinking it is fun by showing you the best parts of the game wile it might take some time to get to those parts of the game therefore you might get bored before you reach them :P
They usually do that with movies so for games a demo would be best before buying it

yea I hate when trailers do that but I usaly read a couple of reviews etc before buying a game, not just trailers etc but they are useful for learning what games I should read up on. Demos also sometimes show you the better parts of games lol.

Haha yeah that’s true they do that with demos as well :P
For me I never play demos I mostly read stuff online and I am rarely disappointed after I buy and play games.
Sometimes though a trailer might not do it at all as the game might look goofy or something and that used to put me off. I like to use Pikimin as an example. It really looked weird and I was like “what is Nintendo doing” but then I tried it and I was blown away as it is one of my favorite games now and can’t wait for the 3rd one. From that day though I learned not to judge a game by how it looks but by how it plays.

Both... If a game looks horrible these days I won't play it simply because half the time it looks worse than the average game, it is bad at game play as well. I'm not talking about old games of course as those are gems that I play every now and then.
I want both! I want my games to look great and play great. Anything else, to me, is a disappointment.
Are your serious? I don't care about graphics. If gameplay is smooth and it is fun to play, then I will buy it.
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
