Forums - Microsoft - pach-Attack: Alan wake will sell a couple million copies!

I want at least 2.5->3M sales. 45 Developers X 100k per year X 5 = $22.5M, say $25M + 20M advertising and you get $45M and then they want to aim for about $100M in revenue after material costs and retailer margins to give them a nice royalty payment for being such cool dudes.

Tease.

This game will probably sell somewhere around 2 million, considering how Mass Effect 2 sold.

Good luck.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Didn't Obi-Wan ever teach you anything? There's only The Force......

Ramdon, the comment is random! XD

Im hoping 360 fans will embrace this game when its released....It would be a damn shame if it sells poorly

Around the Network

It feels sort of like it needs to sell more than 2 million. I sure hope Remedy gets a big hit with this one. And damn, I would want to see it on the PC too.

This is invisible text!

I would like it to sell like Heavy Rain is, but i can't see it selling more than 1.5-2 million copies max.

Its been in development for 5 years.
If it doesn't sell "a couple million" they should be pretty disappointed.

I'll bet Silicon Knights will be hard to beat in the dissapointment scale if this game flops.

I don't get what you mean.......

Too Human had a dev time of 10 years and it flopped. I was saying that it would be hard to beat that.

Well I will be doing my part I already have my limited edition copy of Alan Wake pre ordered. I decided to get it over splinter cell (I didn't want to buy both games at full price since I have already spent too much money on games late year and so far this year).

I hope the game does well because I enjoy games that tell a good story and Remedy has said that that was one of their priorities with Alan Wake. I also like what I have heard about the game-play it looks different and the game looks gorgeous.

The real question for me is do I get Alan Wake or Red Dead Redemption first now that they're launching on the same date. I still dunno.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.
