I don't have an MP3 player, but a standalone music server ( www.hifidelio.com ) and I'm currently ripping my whole CD collection on its HD. Takes some time, I'm not even halfway through. Now in shuffle mode I can listen to my favourite soul music, r&b, indie, electronic, classic rock, pop, jazz, classical music, movie OSTs, videogames OSTs...
Of those mentioned in this thread so far I love Dancing Queen (best Abba song) and Disney soundtracks (one of my favourite soundtracks is still one of the oldest - Pinocchio). I got a CD collection of Disney songs and I love it http://www.discogs.com/sell/item/8805700 .
With that said I don't think there's any music on this planet to be embarassed about as a listener. If you like it, it doesn't matter if others don't.
(There's one thing though that I absolutely hate and that's when friends of mine, who in their lifetime have listened to a fraction of the music I've listened to, want to convince me how great this band or that artist are...)
