I've seen better at around same price.

Actually I'm quite interested as well, I'm wanting a new laptop soon and if I can get up the cash I'll get it.

Keep in mind that $750 can buy you a beefy gaming desktop that'll let you play games at a steady 60 FPS at max (rather than minimum) settings, and at a much better resolution.

Just something to keep in mind if you don't think you'll game "on the go" much.

Nothing against what you said but as well a laptop wouldnt just be for gaming on the go.  It'd be perfect for a gaming student that'd bring the laptop around school etc. other than using it for gaming.

As well its people's preferences, im kind of sick of desktops (take up too much space and attracts alot of dust) that i might just end up buying laptop next time.

Do you know for instance that 60% of Americans surf the net at the same time they watch TV? The mobile platform simply has that much greater value for a lot of people. Its great value in this instance because for ~$200 more than an equivalent laptop the user gets greater than console performance with the advantage of mobility and the ability to use it whenever he/she wishes. Its a great deal vs the almost stupid reluctance of publishers to make games which aren't just single player. Its for this reason that I suspect future PC-like portables like the Slate/iPad to eat some of the console market shere of the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Tease.

Awesome. I am going to be buying a laptop mainly for Starcraft II, WoW: Cataclysm, Diablo III. I am going to wait until around black friday or so and see if there will be any really good deals. I will probably spend $1,200ish or so. I just want to make sure i get a good gaming laptop and something that I can also do my work from (I work for my dad from home) the gaming part will only be for Blizzard games. Yes I know I will be getting a really nice gaming mouse so when I do play SC2 and such it's not with that crappy touch pad stuff. Man that = gameover

Nice! I have been wanting a laptop for gaming for sometime, just been hard to justify. Might have to take a closer look at this one.
