So i went around on ebay to buy some cheap microsoft points. Then i saw these account people had for sale that had like 5,000 microsoft points in them and they were only $30. Now my question is that if i get that account and download something on xbox live such as map packs, will i be ably to play them on my account?

As long as the account is on the same console as the account that purchased the content.

EDIT:  And as the person below said, you should probably not do this.

Don't buy the account, it's probably a scam. But yes, if another account on the same console has the maps you can use them on your accounts. Be safe and just buy the points.

yes i will have the account on my console but it says the account will expire in 4 days or something.Will that affect anything? BTW it is probably not a scam because it there are many people who have been doing this on ebay and they seem to be getting positive feedback. check for yourself!!

Something else to note here. If you purchase content for the console through "account A" then anyone on that console can use the content. If you for some reason need to replace or get a new HDD, then the DRM works a bit differently. In that case, you would have to recover your data, and thus the only way any user on the console would be able to play content is if the user (account a), who originally downloaded the item, was also signed in.

Most are feedback trading, selling accounts is even ILLEGAL. The scammer gives it to you, reports it to Microsoft, and they ban the gamertag or even the console.

No seller feedback, many postings for Microsoft based items, offering to sell points completely out of price, outdated pictures, sure looks like a scam! Legitmate sellers sell current MS Points, and for a small less than retail price. You cannot get 3,000 for 20$, 4,000 is 40$, anyway you can think of it, it wouldn't work.

Don't do it. Just look on amazon or other ebay auctions with REAL pictures before buying.

on amazon I just got 2 1600 cards for $30
