So "$40m" is a selling point now? If anything, it shows lack of efficiency concerning development and planning.

If your goal is to make money you really shouldn't be proud of $40m budgets, especially when you're THQ.

And this is the assinine perspective.

When I hear a game is gonna have a $40m budget, that intrigues me because I assume its a huge project with a lot of effort put into it. Its good to see they are working on something big as opposed to a simple party game or some other shovelware.

Hey, thanks!

I'd rather not see another publisher go down the drain, but hey, that's just me taking the assinine perspective.

Well what are you bitching about? A company taking a risk or boasting about the money spent?

THQ is a huge developer and can afford to take a risk. Worst case scenario they'll only lose a portion of the $40 million.

WTF? all this says is if natal becomes succesful then their going to take it seriously.....thats like every other devs duh! they'll see if natal takes off then their going to invest on it to gain $$, what a pretty weak statement...

So they're all in AFTER it's successful. Lets hope all third party devs aren't thinking the same way.

40m isnt that big of a deal, it would take 1.5 Million sales the recoup costs.

You can also tack on at least 15M advertising expenditure onto that as well and you're looking at over 2M copies moved before break even.

Tease.

Correct if i'm wrong, Gears2s' cost was 20 mil (unrealengine excepted of course)

THQ spending 40 mil on this one is a strong indication of a movie licence being involved.

It will be made if natal will be a success? So it will never be made.
