1. Go to the front page of this site look at the graphs.
2. Locate the letters PSP
3. Read the numbers on them
I bet Sony must be really disappointed to sell almost 60 milions of pieces of psp.

The Wii is trashing the PS3 at nearly the same rate (2:1) as the DS is trashing the PSP so does that mean that Sony should give up on the PS3 also?
As far as competing in this market, the iPod/iPhone are competing and doing well. Yes, the iPod/iPhone are being pitched also as game machines.

I'm not implying they need to give up, but take software sales into account as well.

Having sold nearly 60 Millions PSPs and probably likely to reach 70 Millions.... I am fairly sure that Sony made a profit out of it. More importantly, for their first handheld, having sold that much, I think we can safely assume that this was a success. I very much doubt another PSP should be out soon... I am currently enjoying my PSP a lot and the hardware is highend enough to permit very good games.
God of War chains of olympus is still one of my favorite games...
I am a Gamer... I play games and not consoles. I have a PC and Console on which I game... I like games. End of Story!
Everyone knows the reasons the psp isnt faring so well in places not named japan, sony needs to tighten up security in certain areas to prevent piracy or lessen it somehow and add dual sticks, thats all it needs problems solved.

PIRACY is killing the PSP
and darth please be quiet, you don't even care about PSP games, so how would you know if it's dissapointing or not? The ps3 has a LOAD of amazing ip, both original, and playstation ip. Sadly they are overlooked by 90% of the gaming population because they are never advertised, why should they if the system is pirated to hell..
Honestly there are 60 plus million PSPs out there, and for it's software sales to be so low, is just crazy.
Also I think it is a typo, I believe it meant to say PS2. I expect the PSP to get a large price cut by e3, and alot of marketing or it will die out in the western markets.

Company has already confirmed they were referring to the PSPGo

Oh well, I guess that closes this thread.

If Nintendo is successful at the moment, it’s because they are good, and I cannot blame them for that. What we should do is try to be just as good.----Laurent Benadiba
