A shooter with strong auto aim and dodge movement. Ofcourse a FPS in its current form would never work on Natal. But imagine a more slowpaced shooter where you walk into say a parking mall and by moving your body far to the right you can run towards the nearest cover. And by moving your body slightly to the right you can dodge right. By pointing your hand Natal sees what enemy your targeting.

So basicly your standing in the living room dodging bullets, taking cover, auto rushing towards cover and auto aiming before shooting. In a regular FPS or TPS the emphasis is on running and shooting. In a Natal shooter the emphasis would be on dodging and rushing towards new cover when your current position is compromised.

Sounds good, but how would you shoot? Is Natal accurate enough to register you twisting you finger, thats one method I could think of, but it wouldn't be very accurate with the timing, so the AI would have to be dumbed down a bit so they stay up long enough to register a shot.

Any game that involves active movement should work well with Natal, dance games, sports games, etc.  I think maybe RTS's could work, if it can read your finger like a pointer, then it could overlay things like world maps over the screen so you could order your units around, kind of like a touch screen only without actually touching the screen. Although your arms might get a bit tired holding them up for extended periods. Still, until we know what it can do, hard to say what games would work well with it. Dodgeball does sound pretty sweet though.

It depends, if Natal is accurate enough then moving your finger (our simply keeping your finger bent) could work. If not then pointing alone should be enough. The game wouldn't be about aiming but about taking the shot when your in the clear, so as soon s you see an opening, point your hand and the game will auto fire. So dodge, run, point/fire, repeat.

the Darth Vader force choke game.

RTS Game

Right Hand:
Points with finger to select one unit or destination, you move your hand forward to confirm selection
To selection a group of units, you open your hand to essentially create to a box around the units

Left Hand:
Open hand and move to control map

Use voice commands as hot keys, allowing for quick swapping between unit groups and buildings

I have no idea how precise the tech of natal is though but I'd enjoy that if it was possible

A golf game where you can use your own clubs.

A NFL throwing competition game, longest distance, throw through hoops, etc.

A soccer kicking competition game... kinda as above.

I also though of a crazy one the other day.. but really MS need to come up with a good way that you can walk around before natal is going to seriously be able to move out of the casual arena.

And also if natal works like the ads said, couldn't just scan any old toy gun into the game and pretty much use it like a gun from Arcades? Could work for shooting games

air typing lol like it's that good a tech and even if it was that would crap but funny for 2 seconds oh well forget I said it

There was a tech demo showing that actually, can't imagine it working well unless they were capable of matching the "air keyboard" to how you touch type. I suppose if you air touch typed two letters, it could standardise the air keyboard to that in theory...yeah I don't have any idea if that could even work

it kinda works with a flat surface and a projected keyboard, but typing in the air 5ft or whatever away from the camera, it would need some crazy precision and it would need to learn how the user types etc and map those movements to keys then just read those movements. But whether it would work more than 50% of the time would be up in the air.  all the variables like how far away their hands were, how far apart they were and what angle they were at would make it difficult and that is assuming that Natal can track individual finger movements etc.
