i personally think 13 is worse than 12. i thought 12 was the worst ff ever by the way. i've played a majority of the FFs since i was 6.

i highly recommend getting ff13 the best in the series in a good while. also lost odyssey if u havent already.

It is mostly trash imo, but you should make that opinion on your own. If you like the series and JRPG's you might lie it. Still I would look elsewhere if you expect it to be very close to any other FF.

If you're a fan of JRPG's and looking for something different to play, yes grab this game.  For me, it has that intangible that makes we want to keep playing it.  I've played through a good portion of the game and it is very linear for an rpg (even more than I expected) but the battle system is fast and fun and the story is pretty good.  You could do worse.

I guess the best answer to this would be what do you like in the other FFs? If you liked the linearity of 10 and the hand-holding difficulty (or lack thereof) of most of the later ones, you'll probably like 13. If you liked exploring the map in 6 (or 7, or 9), and don't want to spend 20 hours before you can think for yourself, then no, it's not for you.

I think it's worth getting. Its plot is pretty well paced so far, it has a fun battle system, and its characters aren't as annoying as the last Square Enix game for X360 (I'm looking at you Star Ocean). I actually like quite a few of them. Oh and did I mention the graphics look pretty awesome?
