Forums - Gaming - Final Fantasy XIV FIRST GAMEPLAY VIDEO

lol silly xbots , this will never appear on 360 , microsoft wants nothing to do with the servers and they know people are already paying 60 bucks a year for live .

you can think it will all you want but tell me what happened to all the other 360 mmos that were supposedly coming out ?? they all got canceled simply because microsoft runs their own servers for online stuff and they know that the console space does not have a huge audience for mmos.

do you think a developer is going to hand over the monthly subscription to microsoft lol get real , sony does not run their online space like this, the developers run their own servers on ps3 , mag has dedicated servers run by zipper , final fantasy 14 will be run by square not microsoft

plus your better off getting it on pc it you only have a 360

If it has the same Battlesystem as FFXI I won't even consider buying this game.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

Looks lame to me.

Battle system is different. Though I wish it wasn't. I liked XIs alot.

The battle system was the only thing about FFXI I actually enjoyed.  Got up to 47, then just could not take anymore.

Is no more tedious than any MMO out there. Actually less of a hassle imo sunce you work together and it doesn't feel like one big grind.

The current battle system is great. Partying is much more fun and with all the updates, it's much easier/faster to level up. Finding the perfect parties aren't always easy, but making friends to grind alongside with is easy. I think the FFXIV battle system will be a mix of FF2's and FF3's. If so, we're in for a awesomely complicated game lol.

All of this, of course, is just my opinion.

Skyrim 100%'d. Dark Souls 100%'d.
Dark Souls > Skyrim.
Halo 4 is the best damn FPS since Halo 3.
Proud pre-orderer of 2 PS4's and an Xbox One.

Currently Playing: Dark Souls II, South Park
Playstation 4: MGS V GZ, Killzone: Shadow Fall, NBA 2k14.

My hype meter just went through the roof.. And, still climbing..

I have to disagree with you on that point, XI was a hell of a lot harder grind than other MMO's take WoW for example.

In WoW, you could level yourself doing quests
In XI, the only class that could really "level solo" was the beastmaster, and that was slow leveling

In WoW, I never lost levels due to dying :P
In XI, oh hell yes

Finding a group in WoW is easy as hell, and just as quick to get to the grinding place
Depending on what class you were in XI, you could sit with your LFG flag up for hours with nothing (No love for Galka DRK's but man, I didn't even have to put up LFG for my Taru WHM, BLM or BRD)

Again to previous point, easy as heck to get to areas in WoW due to frequency of airships, teleport spells, mounts, etc
XI not so much - (I think they included chocobo's that you could summon anywhere after I left?) Even if you left from Jeuno you were looking at a long trip in most cases to get to grinding spot.

Having to do a ridiculously hard quest every 5 levels from 50 - 75 blew goats, I can't remember which one it was but I think it was the one where you needed paper, bomb core and something else?  I had 2 75's killing skeletons for me left right and center and it still took an hour to get the item

All in all, XI was a hard game compared to the other popular MMO out at around the same time (WoW) I played XI for about a year and a half before WoW sucked me in and my top job was still only 68.

However, this game will still be a day 1 buy for me :)

Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos
