Yeah, Slim seems like its going to happen, but its guaranteed that Wii HD is a myth.

If you have a Wal-Mart near by they now have some bundles of Wii Sports + Wii Sports Resort with WM+ of course for 200, crazy good deal, plus you can try out how amazing the sword fighting is! (every time I play that game I'm like a kid it's like the one thing I wanted since the motion controller was shown off)

There will be no Wii HD, nobody but people who like Pachter makes any mention of it and they have about as much credibility as anyone on these forums.

As for the 360 Slim rumor, I believe it, but honestly, it will still play the same games the 360 as the old one. If you want to get the Wii now and wait until E3 to see what the 360 does that's understandable, but the 360 Slim, if it exists, isn't going to magically make your gaming experience better.

I doubt a new console will be launched by either Microsoft or Nintendo until at least November 2011 at the earliest.

For Microsoft, Natal is coming out this year. So, there is no way that they would release a new console (XBox720 or whatever) in 2010, and only in 2011 if Natal completely flops, 2012 seems most likely. However, a rumored slim model is very likely this year, and may be worth waiting until E3 to find out about. Considering you are thinking about a Wii too, you could easily get the Wii first, and hold off on the X360.

As for Nintendo, there is no reason to wait to buy a Wii. If there is a sufficient catalog that interests you, buy it now. No Wii HD will ever be released. A true successor to the Wii won't be released before November 2011. The 3DS comes out in FY2011 (before March 2011) so Nintendo wouldn't release a home console in the same year. Even by TheSource's analysis (news article) he doesn't think Nintendo will release a new home console until 2012. Also, as stated, there are some good bundles for Wii right now.

i don't have these bundles in where i live, we have the FFXIII bundle but that is very expensive since its rare, also when one buy a 360 we have to be sure if its regioned like the games you want to import or else im going to get f%#ed, also have to buy one of those XBL cards since visa cards wont work, and also buy a wifi (my roater is very far from my tv).

its no wonder not a lot of people buy 360's in here, the region locking is very strict.

I would wait to see what they do at E3. No point in wasting money if they might price cut.

Get a 360 before you get a Wii. Can get alot more use out of that.

This there is no reason for a Wii as we know it now with HD  It is a rumor that got started long ago by people who do not understand why people buy a WII or buy it over 360/ps3 in the first place.

No clue about the 360 or any of its games sorry!

But yea get a Wii whenever you can and enjoy it

i played the bolded, NMH is a good game though a bit overrated, the humor is a big part of its appeal but the gameplay is repetitive.

I'm actually leaning away from recommending owning more than one or two consoles. It's a pain in the ass, and you won't be able to delve as deeply into the library of any one console as you want.
