I made a thread a long time ago asking which browser was the worst, the PS3 or the Wii. The Wii had the ease of navigation and speed going for it at the time but now, that browser is damn near useless for the sites I go go. It runs out of memory on VGChartz threads, now. I don't think I'll be using it much longer.

The PS3 browser is a big pile of shit, too. It's good for watching porn (no evidence for my girlfriend to find!) and downloading music/pics to my PSP. Aside from that, it's way too slow and crashes too much to be useful.

-still, a crappy version of a browser is better than no browser at all.

That's what I'm using now! My GF can tell if I've been watching porn on the computer, though. With the PS3/Wii, I can get away with watching porn, stalking people on myspace (but not facebook) AND storing pics of my ex-girlfriends!

@Ping_ii, careful, maybe the browser is the next thing Sony will take away after Other-OS. Yeah, I went there. But seriously, I agree, a shitty feature is better than no comparable feature. Well, it's not that the feature is shitty, it just doesn't work well with a gamepad. If you have a keyboard and mouse hooked up, you are set.

I don't really think the Ps3 browser is all that terrible for being what it is...I actually just used it to complete my online driving school after I received a ticket, lol. The site doesn't work well in linux so I tried the Ps3 browser and voila.

Just waiting for that PS Vita to come out so I can play some full featured games on the go with that beautiful screen and control scheme...

It is ironic that the console by a browser manufacturer does not have a browser.

The experience is workable on the Wii -- so I imagine that on the more power consoles with HDDs it would be much better.

PS3 browser isn't the greatest but Netflix doesn't have season 6 of the Office and TheOfficeFree.com does.

Thanks to my PS3 browser I can still continue to catch up on The Office from the comfort of my couch and watch it in great quality on my TV.

So it's not THAT terrible.

Also when I want to show people videos of my kid on Youtube I can do on my TV instead of having them need to stare at my small laptop screen.

Point is, Greenburg shouldn't knock something that his console doesn't have. If his offers the same thing and does it better, then by all means go ahead.
