any example of superior cosplay ability is not a positive for an individual or a culture. next time you try to make one culture look superior to another, you should probably pick a quality that actually does reflect something people admire, not make fun of. Asians dress up like children and like to play make believe better than westerners and westerners are supposed to be somehow insulted? how sad for anyone who believes so.

westerners (i'm one, never did cosplay but this is what i see) lack attention to detail, and they are too hung up on the videogame design to give themselves the liberty to make it less cartoonie to make it work. therefore they end up looking ridiculous.

also... people overweight should NOT cosplay unless they are doing overweight characters.
see it this way, you would find ridiculous seeing a skinny person in a fat suit to portrait a fat character.
