I am going to make an unpopular prediction. This game is going to be far less then people think it will be.

This game has been in development for.. what, 5 years now? History has shown that the longer it takes to bring a game to market, the worse the final product is.

Well, unless your Blizzard.

Which history are you talking about? Theres a saying of which the jist is that a delayed game can eventually be good.

Most don't come to market. A game can be delayed to make it better (most are), but when games take so long, that the industry evolves during development, it's hard to release what you envisioned 6+ years ago in a new market, without it feeling outdated.

The gaming industry just moves to fast. It could end up great, but the odds are against it.

The game design as seen in Alan Wake is probably about 3 years old. The gameplay mechanics have changed from an open world style to a more linear action adventure and theres hardly any movement in the genre unlike say FPS games so being perhaps a year late to the punch really doesn't hurt so much, what hurts more is apathy about tis eventual release.

Tease.

If this the case than GT5 and ff13 where/are crap according to you ???????

Great character models! Incredible. One of the few developers that employs artists who understand how human faces and bodies work and move.

Are there any videos of the daytime parts of the game? I'd really like to see it all in motion.

only second pic is gameplay, probably in them slo-mo segments. the rest are cut scenes.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

A racing game today is not much different then a racing game 10 years ago. And aside from the visuals, FF13 is not that great.

if by those standards you are judging Alan Wake, then it will be a good game. If you want something that's going to advance gaming, I think you will be disappointed.

Really nice.

                                       That's Gordon Freeman in "Real-Life"

Fugly ground textures. Why does no one care about ground textures? they make up the bulk of the game! the field on ffxiii is hideous!

If people are staring at the ground in your game, you have a lot more problems than bad textures.

Well, it makes sense when moving around to be looking at the ground infront of you. Plus, I take in the whole screen. Not just a singular focal point.
