Love the Metroidvania style games- focused 2d gameplay/light exploration/rpg upgrade and item elements/detailed 2d artwork, etc (the guy who invented the first metroid is genius).

My favourite genre is definetly RPG's

I love everything that's RPG's, and I don't discriminate Favourite series range from Dragon Quest, Lufia, Parasite Eve, KOTOR, Diablo, Fallout, TES, Final Fantasy, Shadow Hearts, Soulblazer saga and many more.

Second comes Simulators of all kind, especially racing and sports simulators.

only action=boooring
only adventure=booooring,
but something between like Uncharted=perfect
so i pick Action/adventure game.

Adventure games. More specifically, 3D platformers. PS2 had tons Jak, Sly, Ratchet and this gen has been very scarce for good ones. But it is still my favourite genre just because they never take themselves seriously.

Action, Adventure and RPG's.

Shooters and Sports are good too. Strategy on PC as well.

Damn...

For me

Racing sim>Survival horror>Action adventure

RPG's without a doubt. Value, replay value, depth, awesome game mechanics and controls (usually), good stories, cool characters and lots of games with incredible production values.
To this day, there hasn't been a single RPG that reaches Baldur's Gate II to the knee, I fear we will never see such a game again.

Action/adventure game, for their variety and lack of define formula prevents stagnation
