Who made it first? I remember the PS1 having one, the receiver was the size of a memeory card and went in the controller port. This controller was made by sony.

There were wireless controllers for the NES, so the PS1 controller definitely wasn't first. Hell, while not totally wireless, Nintendo did make the NES Sattelite, allowing you to put your controller ports whereever, usually closer to you. (And it added 4-player support, but that's another topic. I will say now that no, Nintendo was not first at that.)

I had a wireless controller set for my Mega Drive/Genesis and even back then that was far from new.
