I hope this is a joke, cause this is horrible timing. I mean ZeroJay just released an update for his Zerogame Project, which makes emulation on YDL really easy. I hate to think that I can't just boot up and play the classics on my 52" TV screen via my PS3 (making multiplayer real easy). Instead, I'm going to have to go back to playing on my 15.6" laptop screen or the 2.8" screen on my Dingoo.
What I really don't get is the hack was only with the Phats, which in the next year or so may become the slim minority of PS3's out there. And it's not like Geohot was able to get all the way through the PS3's security. From several articles I have read, he merely chinked its armor a little. By the time he had gotten all they through, if he even could, and Blu-ray discs and burners prices dropped to a point where many could buy them, this gen would have been over. I just think this is a bad idea on Sony's part.
