those were the best years for sony, then came the PS3 thats when they were too overconfident thinking they could do the same with PS1 and PS2.

That second video was really interesting. Sony going to third parties and tooting 3d games, 3rd parties saying "No. Too expensive, too difficult". Then a SEGA game opens their eyes to the possibilities of 3D games and got the devs interested in SONY's proposition.

I had people around me tell me that the N64 owned the PS1. I died with laughter on the inside. But the wars were never at this level back then.

btw i'd like to add to this that Nintendo and Philips DID release the console they were working on, and it was considered one of the worst (if not the worst) console EVER made (Very ironic considering the Playstation 1 is considered one of the best consoles ever made)

the PS2 launched pretty f#@@king terribly too , i mean when it came out , people bought it to watch DVDs as it was the cheapest DVD player on the market.

oh how history repeats itself, only thing different is the price, once Sony can ship enough consoles at 250, or better 199 which is where a console gets 70% of it's sales, Sony will be back on top. Quote me on that

i dout that very much will be anywhere near the top for this generation. what ever changes they made recently was far too late.
