I am still yet to see anything... In ANY game, that can match the Village scene in Uncharted 2.

Definitely agree with you, This village scene just blows you away, The details in these videos are just Unmatched

When i played through this scene on my TV i was like Wow.. This is Beasting the visuals on a new level. The Snow scene is just beautiful, the snow particles are amazing, it feels really High definition that no other game has achieved, to me this is the TRUE HD game

Alan wake look great but not the best i've seen, But this cannot be confirmed until the game is released and i would make a comment on it whether if it does surpasses Uncharted 2 or not, But right now on those screenshots the only thing that impresses me is the lightings, I personally feel that the Lightings is the only thing that makes Alan wake looks good

I live for the burn...and the sting of pleasure...
I live for the sword, the steel, and the gun...

- Wasteland - The Mission.

Alan Wake for me. AW overall seems more realistic . U2 in comparison looks more detailed but colorful.

Alan wake looks great no doubt, But if you take a look at those screenshots, the visuals aren't really at Uncharted 2 level, The character details and environment looks great but its just not on par, the reason why a lot of 360 owners who say Alan wake looks better is because they are probably 360 owners only. Am a PS360 owners and am really hyped for Alan wake but the only reason Alan wake looks competitive in terms of Visuals is because of its Lightings effects. Alan wake has one of the best Lighting effects i've seen up to date.

I don't really care if its Visuals will be good or crap because this game is going to be damn EPIC! Rare is bringing TRIPLE A game to the Market that no game may compare in its genre.

Rare is not making Alan Wake, it's Remedy (Pretty sure their name is Remedy). Also, Alan Wake looked more interesting when it looked to be something other than a 3rd person shooter game. I actually thought the 360 could get some diversion amongst their exclusive library, but it's another game with guns...

OT:

The atmosphere of Alan Wake is amazing. And as someone else said, the lightning is really good. However, UC2, HR and GOW3, etc looks better in almost every aspect.

It's funny you make that statement after mentioning Rare, considering almost none of Rare's games this gen have guns in them.

themanwithnoname's law: As an America's sales or NPD thread grows longer, the probabilty of the comment "America = World" [sarcasticly] being made approaches 1.

Alan Wake will be epic, I love the graphics way more than Uncharted2, but its only my opinion

It's all about the tree's remember!?

Alan Wake > Uncharted 2.

wow i posted this picture 3 times already, i guess people are really lacking common sense. (and obviously i am lacking a sarcasm meter)

Pretty sure this is a reference to GT5.  Everyone likes to complain about the low detail tree's in GT5 and it's really quite hilarious.

they both look awesome but you have to remember something ,naughty dog made 2 games with online co-op and everything(with bazillion awards) less than the time it took remedy to make just alan wake.

DF had "online co-op and everything" ?

i didn't say both had online

anyways i mean u2

Unless you live on another planet which I doubt you should know that earth is a pretty colourful place

U2 doesn't aim for realism though
