They both look great....uncharted 2 still looks better but when games looks this good I don't care about wich is better. It's not like after playing Uncharted 2 i don't remain imperssed anymore for heavy rain or this game.

Alan wake looks great no doubt, But if you take a look at those screenshots, the visuals aren't really at Uncharted 2 level, The character details and environment looks great but its just not on par, the reason why a lot of 360 owners who say Alan wake looks better is because they are probably 360 owners only. Am a PS360 owners and am really hyped for Alan wake but the only reason Alan wake looks competitive in terms of Visuals is because of its Lightings effects. Alan wake has one of the best Lighting effects i've seen up to date.

I don't really care if its Visuals will be good or crap because this game is going to be damn EPIC! Rare is bringing TRIPLE A game to the Market that no game may compare in its genre.

Rare is not making Alan Wake, it's Remedy (Pretty sure their name is Remedy). Also, Alan Wake looked more interesting when it looked to be something other than a 3rd person shooter game. I actually thought the 360 could get some diversion amongst their exclusive library, but it's another game with guns...

OT:

The atmosphere of Alan Wake is amazing. And as someone else said, the lightning is really good. However, UC2, HR and GOW3, etc looks better in almost every aspect.

no doubt alan wake looks amazing, but you have to have a playthrough of UC2 to check all the visual flair it shows, the animations climbing jumping the colours it all looks terrific.

Wow. When you were typing the OP, grabbing these pics... did you not uh... take a look at the Uncharted ones or something? I can't really fathom how someone could consider Alan Wake visually close to UC2. In fact I'd say there have already been better looking games on the 360.

Uncharted 2 > Killzone 2 > God of War > Can't think of the 4th down the line, but it's certainly not Alan Wake. Anywho I think Heavy Rain vs Alan Wake would have made a much closer comparison thread.

Uncharted 2 looks better, but given that Alan Wake is an open world game-open world-not sandbox-it's still very impressive.

Definitely Alan Wake looks more than a 3rd Person shooter, its has Thrills, Mystery, Dark, Action, Game will be brilliant, Matterfact i can't even wait for this game to drop, its Been in development for more than 5 years? i assume. Game of the year contender? Possibly we'll just have to wait and see.
