SD Gundam Wii Port Confirmed
Namco Bandai bringing over a late GameCube title to Wii.

This week's Furage column reported that Nintendo would be publishing the Wii version. This is incorrect. Namco Bandai will serving as publisher.


Seemed unlikely to me, had to double check and it looks like that article was not correct.

Nintendo is doing every thing they can to try and attract the "hardcore"/ "traditional" / "whatever the hell you want to call that kind of gamer that is now mostly playing the PS3/360 but not the Wii" market now. They know it's slipped away from them. Trying to get some gundam love seems like a quick and easy way to pad out the release schedule a bit until their heavy hitting titles come.

 

EDIT: Well then, I guess it's more like Namco just trying to make a bit of easy money. But still, the Wii needs every bit of support it can get in Japan right now.

Yea Nintendo is being more aggressive on this front again. It really is good to see how they have pushed and pushed things this gen and still stayed respectable least in public. I am pretty sure I have never played a Gundam game before Might have to check it out if the price is right and if it comes here.

Nintendo are getting stronger on publishing titles but i agree about publishing a title from the gamecube.. talk about getting that last gen rep again :(
