No offense but as much as I love Final Fantasy 13, the person that wrote that games story should burn in hell and should never write any story ever again.

What does FFXIII have to do with this?

Don't listen to him.  He is exaggerating.  FFXIII has a very good story and characters.  It may have a few bits of cheesy dialogue here and there but the voice acting more often than not makes it tolerable.

someone in this thread said that FFXIII characters had good character development. If not then I should go to bed;(

That was me. I thought FFXIII's characters had fantastic character development. It you like to discuss this, then you can hit me up on my wall. You can't even do what I did and make a thread about it.

That is actually another part of the reason why I found it disturbing. I'm surprised that Sed is only that old though. He looks much older to me. Even when Jansen brought up the subject he made it sound like Sed was pretty old.

Also, how do you find my supposed "hang-ups with video games based on personal experiance" odd when you have pretty much did the same thing? Through personal experience with your family, you found that Sed calling Seth momma to be completely normal. Through my personal experiance with the nursing home, it was disturbing. That is just the way it is.

But really now, lets just leave this alone. My opinion on this matter won't change (and when I say this matter, I mean the whole "Sed calling Seth momma thing"). I am perfectly willing to try to understand why people felt that LO's storyline and characters were compelling. Even to the point to where I would even be willing to replay LO someday to understand it. Its happened before to me where a second playthough of a game I didn't like much or didn't think was as good as people said it was help me understand what people were talking about and even end up liking the game more myself. That was the purpose of this thread my friend. When I was still playing, I really wanted to like LO as much as everyone else did and I still do.

Personal experiences inform my idea of normalcy but I throw away ideas of "normalcy" when it comes to reacting negatively to things, especially when it has to do with my personal hang-ups, particularly if I know I'm not the norm.
