Forums - Gaming - Name a common occurrence in gaming

"RPG elements". MW2 says it, Bad Company 2 says it. Every game now has "RPG elements". Why can't I just enjoy a FPS anymore. I don't want to upgrade my weapons all the time, I just want to take my BFG, Double-Barrel Shotgun, and Plasma Cannon and kick some Alien-Demon ass in the classic DOOM style.

The Frigate level was brilliant.

...and so was the train level.

Hmm, I remember liking it.... but my inability to complete it on 00-Agent frustrated me, I could do all the other levels fine, but shooting Ouromov and Xania without shooting Natalya!!!! ahhh.

There was no margin for error in that level on 00 Agent.  Not only was shooting Ouromov and Xenia nearly impossible, but you also had to be perfect with your wrist watch laser to get out of the train.

The level that you have to protect Natalya while she's hacking the computer was even harder.  I never thought that I'd beat it.

Was it called Caverns? ie the one you start in the lift and have to shoot out security guns and guards. Yeah that was insane as well.... especially as enemy fire could explode a computer or a desk (bring back exploding office equiptment!) and kill her. Natalya was just a pain in the behind.

An all too common occurence in gaming is when you have to control something in the game, I sure wish developers would think of something new so we didn't have to control things in games so much.

I don't recall what the level was called, but you described it perfectly.

The multiplayer level called Caverns was my least favorite in the game.

They have done this.

It's called the cut scene, which is coincidentally an all too common occurrence in gaming.
