lol My bad keep forgetting about the others in America.  Just seems that most talks of America is based on US only.  I'm Canadian and i even forgot about Canada lol

I think those people that do are just some stuck-up US citizens that think USA is the best country in the world and the only country that matters.

no one has EVER got that close to a nintendo handheld

the PSP the the most sucessful handheld not made by Nintendo...so Well done sony and hope the PSP will live on

I don't think anyone thinks that it failed in the hardware front.

It failed in the software front - both in sales (one DS game - nintendogs - outsells all PSP top sellers - combined!) and in stabilishing new and popular IPs - especially first party ones.

PSP2 will receive almost no inheritance from it's predecessor.

There's no Brain Age, no Nintendogs, no Pokemon, no Layton, no Tomodachi, etc.

Agreed and its Sony's first attempt into the handheld market to compete with Nintendo's giant.  I'd say the PSP is very sucessful and im certain Sony will continue in the handheld market.
