Bad AI, physics and broken (cheating) AI drew most people away.
Plus last I checked the MS community was pretty damn pissed because Evo Studios dropped support on Pacific Rift BEFORE fixing a multitude of track glitches.
On paper motorstorm is fantastic, it's just evolution studios can't seem to execute it properly. I mean it could be flat out the best arcade racer on the market, they have the development capabilities... just not the knowledge of how to make a traditionally 'good game'.

I'm not saying it's bad, I mean it looks beautiful and whilst 11 of the AI aren't deliberately sacrificing there own chances, to smash you off the course after boosting infinitely up to you it is quite a lot of fun (handling could be better), track design is fantastic.
If you're confused as to what specifically I'm talking about is broken and how 'the MS community was pretty damn pissed because Evo dropped support on PR before fixing the numerous glitches'

I'm not sure of the status now, since I stopped playing. But yeah there were plenty of glitches when Evo stopped support, and there is a reason the only serious competative play on motorstorm is done in time trials rather than online play...
