Yes you probably are.
The nintendo DS is the 2nd best gaming device ever created
Its got a massive library with games everyone can love.....and some extremely unique games (Trauma Centre, Phoenix Wright).
Now we go 3D & 3DS has an accelerometer too.
Witht eh NDS nintendo completely fulfilled its potential & 3rd party's delivered gems.
It WILL NOT fail.

I have both DS and PSP, and I like DS more but think about it how would games like FF4 and DQ would have looked if they were on PSP but yet they were done on DS because its cheaper to develop on + more install base with all the casuals who bought it.

PSP got plenty of SE remakes itself (FF1-2, Star Ocean 1-2) and honestly, they didn't look like anything DS couldn't handle in terms of assets. The only thing that really improved was resolution, which would probably be the same had FF3-4 and DQ4-6 been on PSP instead. It's more an issue of budget and resources, not system capability with SE remakes.

That's the difference between a 2D and 3D remakes. I still wonder if Square would have bothered do a 3D remake using the Crisis Core engine. That would have been quite a difference.

For a remake? Doubt it... if anything, they'd have looked like DQV PS2. In other words, low budget...
