Forums - Gaming - PS Move will succeed due to better visuals than Wii, less 'embarrassment'

I don't get the better visuals part though. Numbers have shown that most people don't care about graphics. Besides, I don't think many people will want to spend 500-700 dollars for a new system, new set of controllers, and games just to have the same or similar experience with a visual upgrade.

aww how nice of you to post the most kiddy themed game from it's library lol

That's actually 2 different games (Move Party & TV Superstars).  Here's Sports Champions, which outside the res bump really looks like a 3rd party Wii knockoff.

...and here's The Shoot, which again looks like high res 3rd party shovelware on Wii(Ware)...

Malstrom had a nice rebuttal to Divnich.

Then Divnich e-mailed Malstrom on a job well done. lol!

I was talking about move party, lol, and yes they do look like wii game rip off's but are the wii games just a rip-off of eyetoy mini games, i think so

Anyway I'm doing a bad job at ignoring behaviour like this right now, I'm off see ya later, try and behave

it's the future of handheld

Talk about embarrassment Sony...

uh... i understand your hatred to anything Sony does but what the fuck that have to do with anything?

I thought that the statement in the OP was from some guy at Sony R&D.

My bad.

Jesse Divnich has a history of making outrageous statements.

He was the one who stated that brand awareness was greater than game quality at the 2009 Montreal summit. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Divnich

Of course, without statements like that, EEDAR would not be in the news.

Also, remember where these statements originated -- Industry Gamers. The site does not like the Wii. And Divinch falls into that trap talking about how fitness games declined in February, failing to take into account the lack of hardware!

I cannot find anything that gives a clue as to how old Divinch is -- but from the looks of his photo and the lack of any reference to him that is more than 3 years old, chances are he is under 30 (probably around 25). If that is the case, he just does not get it because he is so wedded to the model of gaming found in the PS3 and Xbox 360.

IMHO, the PS Move cannot succeed if all it does is provide an HD version of the Wii experience. That is not going to cause someone to spend $100.
