Final Fantasy VII Remake and Monster Hunter 3D will be on 3DS. Dragon Quest X Portable Edition or something like that will likely show up too at some point.

Other IPs that haven't been on the DS yet like Metal Gear and Soul Calibur will also make the transition to 3DS I think now that it's likely to have a more capable 3D chipset.

Consoles like the PS3 will become increasingly irrelevant in Japan.

Whatever helps you sleep at night

Really has nothing to do with me or my sleeping patterns, lol.

This is just the market realities. 3DS is basically the biggest "sure thing" to hit Japan since the PS2 launched there 10 years ago and it's going to get the cart blanche treatment from Japanese third parties as a result ... and it's well deserved given how well the original DS is the best selling game machine in Japanese gaming history by about a country mile.

Around the Network

Quit teasing and shove it in (my PS3) already.

Actually, I'm currently re-playing FF7 (when I'm at work) and......it's not as good as I remember. I'm currently in the city of Junon. I still like the battle system but the story and characters? I've played better. Plus, I already played it to death in 1997. I found EVERYTHING and then went back and bought a strategy guide to see what I'd missed (and learned that, like Super Metroid, I had discovered every single thing there was to discover).

They'd have to make some changes to entice me into buying/changing it again. And if they changed ANYTHING, the fanbase would go fucking crazy.
