Forums - Gaming - Oh, Gamestop! What are you up to, now?

I hate Gamestop and never use them. They're pricing is absolutely horrid and always a rip off.

Especially their used prices. I can't believe people go there.

For retail I hit Walmart as they are generally cheaper. Other than that I hit up Ebay for used and Amazon for new.

People who shop and Gamestop are simply ignorant of the market, and I'm not trying to be a name calling jerk; just do some research.

I have photographic evidence of gamestop selling used games for a higher price than a brand new copy of the same game in the same shop.

I believe you but post it anyway for laughs.

And it's happened more than once!

Are they actually NEXT to each other?  If so, how stupid can you get?

Nah, I placed them up beside eachother for a better shot on my camera phone. Generally the used games are on the used shelf.

They buy used games for as little as a tenner, and place them back on the shelves at full retail. It's criminal.

I don't think that this makes them any dirtier than most retailers. It's a common practice to bump up a product's price a lot for a a couple of weeks in order to put it "on sale" later. It's price on sale is actually more than the original low price. Retail at it's finest.
