GTA: PS centric title last gen, maybe new addopters buy it more then the more online gaming oriented 360 owners? GTA4 has an online component, but FPSs are more popular. Xbox 360 version did sell more than PS3 version overall. That is more important than last gens userbase. Madden: its only for a couple of week... maybe a pricedrop for the PS3 version? I doubt they will cut the price of the PS3 version and not the 360 version. SUGC: that game did better on the PS3 from the go, so its no surprise that the leggs are better IMO :| UFC: Now that is odd, but maybe the budget re-release helped NFS:S: oh common, NFS is a racing game, and racing games ( especially NFS) allways did better on Sony platforms... accepted AoT2: that is odd... the first title is explainable with the budget re-release, and lack of AAA 3rd preson cover shooters on the PS3, but the second beats me :| RF:G: you get that game for free is I recall correctly, if you redeem your Darksider coupon CoD and DS: well DS is an action/adventure/horror title, its in the budget line, so thats plausable, What? Why is this plausible? Because of the genre? but CoD... well, beats me :-S |
I think especially the more casual games like Sega All Star Racing or Vancouver should do a better job on the Xbox 360, because it is the console with a more casual audience. Sure, the Wii owns this market but for Xbox 360 vs PS3 I think the Xbox 360 is more casual. The price tag, bundles with Kung Fu Panda and Lego Indiana Jones or Sega Superstar tennis or for last holiday Lego Batman and PURE secured a lot of casuals.
I don't get why games like Midnight Club LA appears on the chart after 73 weeks. Of course only on PS3.
The advantage the PS3 has with more consoles sold right now doesn't help in the West. There is a 20k difference without Japanese sales and all the games I listed before did not sell in Japan in the first place.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Budget titles tend to have great legs on the PS3
